Energy Saving Light Bulbs Health Problems
An energy saving bulb broke in my daughter's room, mercury concern?
A few months ago an energy-saving light bulb broke in my daughter's bedroom. I had no idea that they contained mercury and the glass quickly only in the usual way. Now I have heard, I should have done it differently. If such an Incident likely to have caused problems for human health? Please, please only sensible answers! Chipmunk I am with you not to buy it! I have some with only the odd one around the house, either because they have been or freebies I could find at the time. I can not bear it not just because the mercury above but because they are so boring!
The mercury scare is blown out of all proportion, the amount of mercury in a light bulb is tiny when I was a child and was very curious and anxious, to learn about things, I play to be used with mercury (we called it mercury) from broken thermometers, and I have never had any negative effects I am now 74 years old and in good health, this fear is just another headline to sell news, if you are cleaned up as usual there is absolutely nothing to fear.
